That is a very remote possibility, but POSSIBLE.

If we had a martial law situation or a worldwide catastrophe, I GUARANTEE you the Obamunists would try that......Hell Liberals were worried that Bush was going to "try" something like that.....Bush respects and loves America too much for that. Obama, I'm not so sure.

From what I've read, I don't think Obama can do it by executive order, but I think the Congress can.......So we BETTER dang hope we keep the house, or that could become a reality.

Article 2, section 1, clause 4 of the Constitution states,

"The Congress may determine the Time of chusing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States."

Thus, although the congress does have the authority to change election day, for any reason, not just a war, this has never happened except to the extent that they have permitted the states to use early voting.

No presidential elections have been stalled or delayed due to a declaration of war. But, the Constitution does provide for a change in the elections for any reason.

How does changing the election day nullify the Constitutional prohibition against a three-term president?

I take it your not a big Gun enthusiast? This recent Ammo shortage and specific gun shortage (AR-15's, AK's and high cap mag pistols) lasted from the end of last year to mid Summer. You could not find .22lr, 9mm, .40 cal, .45cal or .223 unless you got lucky or purchased in Bulk but that dried up quickly. Then it came to waiting in line once the delivery truck showed up at the stores and at that point they gave out numbers and would call on you when it was your turn. Even then they limited the ammo to 2-3 boxes depending on the store.

Now you can go to Sportsmans or most stores and find about any gun you like and the shelves have ammo on them for more than 10 minutes. You want an AR? You can pick from 30-40 on display with many more in the warehouse. Before there were 2-3 on display and they were low end stripped down models that were still gobbled up but not as fast as the others.

Walmart has more ammo now on the shelves than in the last 10 months. All I am saying is the ammo shortage was for the large part self inflicted by gun owners, enthusiasts and profiteers who saw an opportunity to hoard ammo when it was lets say .40 cent a round and sell it for .80 cent a round or more! Yes this was because of the distrust of Liberals like Obama, Biden, Feinstein and others brought on by those tragic shootings. We were told (NRA and other Gun publications) that DHS purchased billions of rounds for training and that manufactures were struggling to keep up and even working round the clock to try and keep up with demand. Once that order was filled things would ease up and settle down and it has but will take many more months for the ammo to catch up like it was prior to the shootings.

If they wanted to pass an alternate form of gun control there would be no ammo available now but there is more available and the prices have actually dropped. The gougers are fewer than before and some lost money or at least the ability to make double their expense.

The smart move is to buy a little ammo here and there or the gun you want now because it will happen again...you can take that to the bank...Jack!

I hunt. Son got a squirrel last night.

I knew there was an ammo shortage this summer, didn't know it was better, that's good to hear. But I still don't think it's out of the question that the feds are buying ammo to reduce the supply. They've done crazier things.

My biggest challenge is getting 16-gauge shells. Hard to find nowadays.
