I was able to get one striper in about 3 hours at the falls. He was a decent 7lb fish that hit in a shallow pool on a 1/4oz jig wit a 3in white grub. I was popping my bait off the bottom bumping rocks and then he hit strong. It was a healthy fish with a strong fight in him. Thought I had a bigger one than that on. But I was fishing slow jigging off the rocks on the bottom.
That was the only fish we got in. My cousin had a good one hit that just kept peeling drag and ran him about 20 yard down river before snapping his line. We go to see the tail of this big fish but once he go shallow he made that big last run and that was it. His bite was also on a 1/4oz jig with a 3in white grub. Hope this helps some.
