when something like this happens, it sure will make you do some soul searching. I meet this guy at work a little over a year ago, and we just clicked right from the get go. I truly enjoyed ever minute we spent together. everyone on the job like this guy. he laughed all the time. and would make anyone he talked to laugh. we were talking Monday at work about getting old, and he said his Dad lived to be 93 and he said he was 72 and feel great most of the time. he even danced around a little, showing that he could still move around. and after work went home, set down in his chair and fell over dead. I'm posting this that it may make someone reading it, to think about what if you go on to meet Jesus tonight or tomorrow, have you prayed today. have you done anything to help your children to be saved. after your gone, will someone else teach your children to pray. if you haven't taught your children to pray why would you think someone else would take the time to tell them about Jesus. if you are reading this and don't know Jesus, please say a prayer before you go to sleep tonight. I'm just sitting here thinking of my old friend, he did pray, but i was wondering about if this should happen to folks that don't pray. we're here today and gone tomorrow. hope this helps you to take the time, to ask yourself what if that happened to me.

I am sorry you lost a friend it hurts. We never know God's plan....
You are so right and I'm glad to say that I have taught my children the right way. My son is facing what could be his "homegoing" to heaven most anytime. He told me that he wasn't afraid of dying because he knew he would instantly be with Jesus. He has taken 2 little boys to raise and they get up every Sunday morning anxious to get to Sunday School and church. He said that he wanted to live long enough to get them educated so they could get a good job and have a decent life. Their biological parents abandoned them and their father was killed in an auto accident about 6 months ago. Last Sunday Mike crawled out of bed although very sick, got dressed and carried the family to church.
If we get everything else in the world right, but get Jesus wrong, nothing that we got right matters.
