Crappie are on !

Crappie are up shallow and feeding - caught 24 yesterday and 25 today , all 10-12 inches . Its cold but the fish dont care ! Most hitting minnows 1 foot deep around weedbeds .

Thanks for the news and info. If it warms up a bit I may get the boat out one more time. But right now I'm in hunting mode and have plenty of crappie fillets in the freezer. But some of them are probably freezer burned and will have to be discarded or given away.

It's going to be really cold tomorrow but it will warm back up later and next week from what I'm hearing.

I just got access to a new rifle and am setting it up to go hunting right now. If not for that I'd be right out there on those crappie.

It's a lot of fun when you catch a good mess of them crappie.
