How do some of you guys approach the water after cold fronts fishing for bass? I like a bait that covers water and depth. Generally a crank or rattle trap. Once I find em I'll slow down and if they don't want it slow I'll just keep cranking.

I tie on a Jig, jerkbait, crankbait and soft plastics. I like to start with a jerkbait (50 or below WT) and when I see areas that call for a jig or soft plastic I stop and try it same goes for the crankbait (usually above 50 WT).
Steep banks with sunshine get my attention more than a shady bank and I feel the bite gets better in the afternoon. Shallow flats with cover after sunshine all day also get baits tossed at it as well.
I realize there are many ways to catch fish and there is always that odd pattern that works but I like to try my approach and always keep an eye out for other signs like baitfish activity, or see if fish have shad tails or crawfish sticking out of their gullet.
Of course catching a few and taking note of how deep, water temp, sun, shade and other things we try and zero in on what's best.
We flat wore them out yesterday with this approach.
