Are there more and more shad moving into the bays, I want to see BIG schools of shad the week of Nov, 3rd.
Yes......
Last weekend, even though the weather was CRAZY we saw shad in every bay we fished. I think the 30 degree shift in weather last friday /saturday pushed them down, which made things tough for me.......not to mention getting WINDBOUND in a dead bay![]()

I'm headed down today, and expect to get on them....hopefully.
Last weekend, while we didn't pound them, we did catch a lot of short fish on channel banks and flats using red eye shad and crankbaits.

Should have been there yesterday![]()
We destroyed the fish in South Barkley......had 26 on 1 point with multiple keepers.........
Ended up with well over 80 fish with 38 bass and a bunch of hybrids, yellows, and whites.....
All on a red eye shad........
