so your saying, if someone new you had food, and with no power and water, everyone would have to go, to the woods or a outhouse out back. and this someone watched for you to come out to the little brown shack out back, to do your business. and bushwhacked you and took all the food you had, and left your wife and children without a bite to eat.... you think your neighbor that may have some food, should turn your hungry kids away, when they ask for a small piece of bread or something. just tell them, sorry kids your on your own, and if they are so hungry they try and reach for something to eat. you think the neighbor with food should, put a bullet in your hungry wife and kids.

Nope.............someone won't get CLOSE enough to take what I have....that was my point, not your hypothetical situation.

A few friends of mine were talking about this sitting around a camp fire one day. If it came to it we all grab everything that we have and need to survive and meet at on friends house. He lives in the head of a hollow here in eastern Ky with a creek next to his house and a lot of game in the area. His house would also be easy to protect just based on the location and terrain around it. Now anybody that knows me know that I like guns and have quite a few of them. So do most of my close friends so we would be a very well armed house. I feel that my family and real close friends could survive for a long time if needed without really having to do any prepping. Now that being said I might give someone one warning to leave "MY" area. There would not be a second warning if I felt my family was in danger.

Yeah, I would. Because it wouldn't take long before "their guns" are bigger than "my guns". Even in the most extreme examples you can only store up so much guns and ammo. Eventually somebody or group is going to overtake you. I'd rather not live minute to minute constantly looking out the compound watchtower waiting for the inevitable. That's no way to live, especially if you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and know something much better awaits.......

I watched another show about what would happen after a major Flu outbreak killed tons of people across the world and just as suspected their theory is that Gangs of people would take over and control food and water by violence. Anyone not associated with their own group is gonna get raped, robbed and killed. You either find a group or get lucky enough to stay hidden and survive. Domesticated animals get eaten, die or go wild. Money eventually means nothing.

Trash, sewage, nuke plants and other things that were taken care of by workers collapse and poison their local areas.....medicine that used to save us from basic things like infections and illness are not available so people die. Knowledge of many things like medicine, survival, ingenuity and leadership qualities we don't all posses die with others.......this show took it to 25 years after the collapse of America and showed how people started over. Living and thriving the best they can.

I know it's all assumption based on how natural catastrophes have played out but I think it would be much worse. Can you imagine the people who would die because of no power? Hospitals, nursing facilities, elderly, very young and sick folks who need machines to survive. Prisons, mental institutions and detention centers would be empty with these folks roaming the country doing what they do best. It would be scary and being lucky to find the right group to be with would be a major key to survival.

Weather would wipe out folks who can't find a way to deal with the cold and heat. Fire and water would be key to survival.....places like LA, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Miami and on and on would be kill zones. Disease from all the rotting corpses across the land that makes it in the water supplies like streams and lakes would be a concern......Let's hope it never happens!!!
