Is this dog toast? Started with showing black bars instead of a solid black bottom, then started to forget to see fish, and not periodically goes to a black screen the hough command still WOR. What the fig nuts? Is it time to introduce the biat- a- che to a claw hammer?

Hey what model Humminbird do you have? I have had to send 2 units to Humminbird and have had excellent results with Humminbird customer service. Both times were my fault trying to update the software on the unit.

My Humminbird 587ci did something similar....screen freeze....black lines and such. Called Humminbird & they gave me a reference number for repair. I shipped it back out of warranty. Cost, I think $110 to reload updated software....That was 3 years ago & it's been fine since. Beat hell outa buying a new one.

Call led today while on water and explained /issues. They figure the transducer is toast so will try that first. Very helpful folks. Great customer service. Thanks to all.
