Rough can be at it's best in late fall or early spring. Not sure what happens to the big ones in between but they don't show up like they do right now and and early spring. I caught by second biggest bass at Rough in November many many years ago. It was 7 1/2 Only saw one boat on the water all day and it was the first day of Deer (gun) season too.
