    Ohio river bass bite

I have never had as much fun the last month as I have had bass fishing the Ohio River...My thoughts before were not good, seeing BASS MASTERS only catching small weights and just really not understanding were to go to find quality fish. I was wrong, in my thinking and not knowing what a great fishery this river can be at the right time, right place. last 5 trips...over 45 bass...mix bag of smallie, spots, and largemouths...with some drums, flatheads and a big stiper thrown in...I'm a believer now...thanks to a buddy of mine...sharing a place with me....

Wow those are some pretty nice ones! I had two moderately successful trips last year but haven't been back since. That needs to change.

Thumbs up 11/9 Meldahl Pool Bass

Me and a buddy caught 16 keepers, best 5 went 15.5lbs. Big fish 4.25, 3.5, 3.0, 2.75, 2.0. See photos below. Best day on the Big O for me. Got beat up by the wind and 3-4' waves all day.

Get out of my fishing hole!!! LOL!! Caught many of bass in that area. BUT, the Ohio River just keeps getting better and better all over. This year and last year, to me, have been the best it has been since I have fished it over the last 20 years. Just my opinion.
