We didnt fair well at all. Only 5 fish, 3 on live bait, one on a jig, and one on a jerkbait. One barely keeper lm and 4 small spots. I did hang a big lm up in a tree on a jig and had something big on a crankbait, either striper or smally. Wind was bad and cold front hit about an hour into the day. We were there for about 4 1/2 hours and left to come back and fish green river. Never saw any striper jumps but saw several individual feeds. I fished from the back of greasy out onto the main lake. Water was surprisingly warm everywhere we went. It was 60 to 61 everywhere. Next time i go i may get the fnf out. Only pattern i picked up on was lay downs on broken rock banks back in greasy with a jig, but we had trouble stickin em

You did better than we did Friday at Laurel. The water temp we saw there was about 54. That's a big difference between the two lakes.

I had thought that to, but the other deep, clear lakes (dale and laurel) are already much cooler. Cumberland has always seemed to stay a couple degrees warmer but 6 is quite a bit. Even the knee deep water in the backs of the creeks is a lot warmer

Alot more surface acres and depth. I find most years the big C to hang on to it's warmer temps longer but will admit 6 degrees does seem a little more than usual. It has the same but opposite effect in Spring and lags behind in warming.
