LOL, we put the drone in the drink for the first time while in FL. I will post the video on Youtube and put link tomorrow.

smithwick rogue 5 1/2 " in natural bait color is a good search bait, as every body of water is different.
ive had a small 20lber hit a big foot musky lure ( 12") this time of year. where i fish, mother nature has big impact on fishing conditions same as for other species.
but one hint, when they are on the jumps....spring or fall...bigger the lure, the better!

yes....where you live a 20lber is on the smallish side....these days where I live a 20lber is on the larger side....BUT we are on the rebound and on our way back, it may never be what it once was BUT soon we will be measuring in pounds again instead of inches.

What do you use now?

Mean Morone probably didn't see this. I don't want to speak for him but i will make an educated guess. As he is with Smack Tackle, I would say he uses a Gizz 4 most of the time and it is a deadly bait. They are awesome as shallow casting baits, Jump baits, down rigger trolling baits and Jerk baits off of points.
Several (most) of their shad patterns work but I prefer the one with a slight purple hue the best. In most cases, cast out with a slow to medium steady retrieve. Very easy for newbies to pick up on.

I am also very partial to their flitter baits. It's like a lipless crankbait and jigging spoon on steroids. Lift the rod tip and you can feel the thing pulsing through the water. It's a great bait to bounce off the bottom when there is a bait die off.
