We did pretty good all weekend the fish were scattered but were able find small schools often enough to keep us busy. We caught several bonus catfish as well.

We fished Saturday and a few hours today. Found what appeared to be stripes but could not get one on a hook, down lines and boards using shiners. Saturday evening late ran into a small school in jumps but they were up and back down faster than we could get to them.

Did catch a nice bunch of ky bass for the freezer.

We couldnt get anything to hit on the boards, all of our fish came on down lines. We had to use the graph to chase them around and drop shinners on their nose.

We just got back from a long weekend at the lake. Bass fished mostly but fished for stripers the last two days. Days, isn't the right term. More like hours (short spurts morning and evening). Anyway, we found schools pretty far back in the creeks. The fish further back hit shiners better than the ones a little further out. We also found fish feeding on top on flats early and late.

LOL It was ok at best for us. We did get some nice Kys and a 3-4 smallie. Lots of smaller ones on top which is always fun. Again, we didn't stay with it too long each day.

Thanks Duayne, still catching some on top water wow this surprises me a bit this late. But upper 50's water temps still I can certainly see it.....

Have you noticed the average size of the Kentucky's increasing over the last few years or is it just me. Seems I'm getting better quality on the Spots per an average fish now than in the past??

I'm thrilled with the size and health of Kys, Smallies and Stripers. We were catchings Kys that were huge compared to the average. Three weeks ago I caught 5 smallies 3-4 pounds. The stripers we caught had awesome growth from 2 years ago and were extremely strong and healthy. You can still see they were stunted a few years ago but have continued on since then. Really wide backs, thick bellies and fight like hell. I am thrilled with the prospects of fishing Cumberland. The KDFW has done a remarkable job with Cumberland given the circumstances. T+hey get a standing ovation from me.

Are you and your fishing circle seeing any White bass? A couple of years ago I think one year after they stocked some Andrew and I were seeing several and I was catching one to three out of about every three or four trips and really wasn't trying for them at all.
This past year I did not catch a one. I was really hoping they would take off......
