If you are just starting out, or an ole timer, the above is some good advise.I had a board member buy me a bps rod for the fnf, and i see no reason to purchase a much more expensive rod. I dont throw it often, so a more expensive rod really wouldnt be a must for me. I can see the need for a higher end rod when youre fishing a "feel" technique like a jig or worm, but dont see the necessity with the fnf where youre watching for bites. Length to be able to cast a longer leader is much more important![]()
