This area is dry an free of ice an snow as of this evening.
I did fish some this afternoon, lots of wind an chill a good test of the winter ware.
I was able to get several fish in, those of you that fish in the tougher conditions wind cold etc. know how a small mistake can be a big one.
Water temps a little above 50, lake is clear around the obie an wolf.
It took me a while to find some fish today, but the bite picked up enough at the end, that Ill go back tomorrow.
My fish moved deeper which is typical when the winter conditions change so suddenly, but they didn't go far.

Thanks for the update Rick. Headed down there for three days next week, can't wait. Do you know if the turn over is almost done between Mitchell and the dam?

from what they are saying on smalljaws it sounds like it, I seldom get further down than Hendricks,
good luck, I found fish today near 40ft. IM leaving the bait sit on the bottom and as the fish move up an down they find it.

I was able to get back to a spot I found the day b4 where just b4 I came I found with electronics a secondary hump,
thinking I could sit up on the area the next day, and it worked I took 4 off this one spot b4 having to head in.
