Yes it will be called very close. If it is called fairly then advantage The CARDS. As my Dad always told me speeds kills weather in sports or in a car. Be careful young man.

UofL's bench is much deeper than the kat's.

Keys for Ky are they must pound the ball into the blocks and not inside the paint because the ball gets stripped. The guards must drive and lob to score, pass or get fouled. Ky needs to stay out of foul trouble and control the tempo.

Keys for U of L are to control tempo, run, run, and run and have some pressure offense inside.

    Louisville by 8.

I've established a college basketball drinking game where every time a foul gets called, you have to take a drink.

Since I'll be passed out with 15:00 left to go in the 1st Half, somebody make sure and post who wins here.

No shortage of fouls in this one, but I feel like UL will out-shoot UK from behind the arc and seal the deal with the long ball.

    What's going on here?

All the UK fans pick UofL to win while the UoL fans pick UK to win.

Is this some kind of reverse mojo thing?

I think this game is called as stupid as every other game this year has been. I dont want the best players for either team to ride the pine. Its boring to watch the ball boys from both teams play the last 8 minutes of the first half in every game. If UL plays their typical scrappy pressing defense they could wind up in foul trouble against a team whose players are on their level. If UKs guards cant keep their hands off ULs guards and theyre calling the crappy handchecks UKs backcourt will be on the bench really early. I havent watched but a couple UL games against very inferior teams, but if SVT is as slow and akward as he was last year UL cant afford foul trouble on the interior like UK can. Lee and Johnson can come off the bench and do a decent enough job. I'll say it again, it all comes down to tempo. If its a fast paced up and down game, advantage UL. If its a slow it down, pound it inside, foulfest, advantage UK

I also find it ironic that we're all picking the other team to win, maybe its a product of both fanbases having watched our teams enough to not have much confidence. One thing for sure, I'll be leaving Dale Hollow early to be home to watch it

I think Louisville will squeak one out. The few times I've watched uk play this year they just have those stretches where they don't mesh as a team on either side of the ball. Discombobulated is the word that comes to mind. This will remedy itself as the season progresses and this would be a much better game played in late February than late December. Experience will be the deciding factor at this point in the season.

I like louisville in the bowl game against Miami as well.

    Totally CRAZY

I had a buddy tell me he cannot go to Dale Hollow that weekend because of the big GAME.

Are you FREAKIN, FREAKIN kidding me. Watch the bobber drop or watch the ball drop?

Personally, I'm bobber watching any day..........Oh well, I guess I ask someone else.

    Later,

    Geo

I will take the Cards 77-72. Game is close throughout with lots of momentum swings, but experience wins down the stretch. Since Cal has been at UK, this is the hardest of these games to pick IMO. I am going to make one prediction that many may not agree with.

Regardless of who wins this game, I think the Cards go farther in the NCAA Tournament. The main reason I say this, is strictly experience, or rather NCAA Tourney experience. There is not a player on UK who has ever faced the pressure of playing in a single NCAA Tournament game and that is huge, because post season pressure is unlike what they face during the season. Louisville has a ton of tourney experience. Heck, Blackshear and Behannan have played in Final Fours every year they have been at Louisville and have a record of 10-1 in tournament games. Add in Russ, Hancock and even Tim Henderson and you have a battle tested team.
