I don't see UK winning. UL by 6.
I think both teams were overrated coming into the season and still are. UK's guards couldnt keep the local retirement homes backcourt from getting in the paint, but they should dominate around the rim. I can honestly see this game going either way, and it could come down to UL's backcourt getting into foul trouble, as they are vertically challenged compared to UK's. Russ Smith gets in foul trouble early and turn out the lights. On the flip side, if he goes Russdiculous from outside, turn out the lights the other direction. Whichever team is able to dictate the tempo will win the game. I'm gonna say UL by 6 and pray I'm wrong
Kats by 3. It pains me to say it. The only way The CARDS win is if Blackshear can hit from the outside and SVT has a great game. Which would allow Russ and Jones to free up and do their thing. Speed maybe a factor as much as the kat's size. I think it will be close. As always go CARDS.
Football Miami wins by 14 in not much of a close game. Bridgewater has a great game and goes #2 in the draft.
Interesting and I was waiting on someone to bring ''Speed'' into the equation. Alot of talk has been placed on the size of Louisville's guards versus UK's and while that is a factor size doesn't always make or break a game. I see Smith or Jones readily going around either of those Harrison boy's pretty easily. Now the pull up's in the lane or jump shots size will become an issue. Right now I wouldn't trade one Russ Smith for both Harrison kids but thats just me. I hope Montrez Harrell goes all Viking on Blondie.....Kats by 3. It pains me to say it. Oh and lets not forget that UK plays out of their flippin skull every year against the Cards. The game they played last year in the Yum may have been their most complete game they played all year even in a loss.

I dont think Harrell has anything for WCS. He makes his living beating slower bigs down the floor and really struggles to score from outside 5ft. WCS protects the rim and probably wont let him get the bunnies hes used to getting unless WCS has to step up to stop penetration which is very likely to happen. No doubt UL has the speed factor on their side but UKs size might, and i emphasize might, nullify some of their speed and getting to the rim. Heres a bold prediction for ya, whichever Harrison is guarding russ will be on the bench with 2 fouls in the fiirst 10 minutes
Are you saying Russ will be on the bench or a Harrison, I don't get the bold prediction thing. Also Harrell proved himself tp play MUCH larger against noted bigs down the stretch last year and especially in the final four. I think he's twice the offensive player than Blondie is but I will give Willie his due on the defensive side of the ball. Now given the fact that Harrell has a 7' 2'' wing span and thunder dunks like nobody in college ball Blondie might wanna watch dem fingers, lol...I dont think Harrell has anything for WCS. I was saying whichever Harrison is guarding Russ will be on the bench in 10 minutes. The bold prediction part was a joke, both Harrisons tend to be a little more than foul prone. Harrells only problem is that he cant score other than on a dunk or layup, and neither can WCS but WCS balls on the defensive end. Im gonna say if Harrell reaches double figures theyll all be on dunks and layups, but i dont see him scoring 10
He has improved a little with a 8 to 10 footer but they don't fall with a high percentage but it's much better than last year. What makes him so dangerous is his ability to be around the rim and above it and draws alot of fouls. Stein is a beast around the halo and is a great shot blocker but if he gets caught up in trying to block Harrell on every poss down low he might get in foul trouble. Then Harrell has to make the FT's which is a WHOLE Nother matter in itself, lol...I was saying whichever Harrison is guarding Russ will be on the bench in 10 minutes. Louisville has to guard Young from the perimeter to, very important.
Hey Steven here's one for ya....How is it going to be called? Will Calipari do his please call all their fouls campaign prior to the game, will the crowd influence the whistle?
Just asking??
I myself think this one gets called EXTREMELY close and I start screamig...''LET'EM PLAY REF'' less than five minutes in...![]()
Yes it will be called very close. If it is called fairly then advantage The CARDS. As my Dad always told me speeds kills weather in sports or in a car. UofL's bench is much deeper than the kat's.
Keys for Ky are they must pound the ball into the blocks and not inside the paint because the ball gets stripped. The guards must drive and lob to score, pass or get fouled. Ky needs to stay out of foul trouble and control the tempo.
Keys for U of L are to control tempo, run, run, and run and have some pressure offense inside.
Louisville by 8.
I've established a college basketball drinking game where every time a foul gets called, you have to take a drink.
Since I'll be passed out with 15:00 left to go in the 1st Half, somebody make sure and post who wins here.
No shortage of fouls in this one, but I feel like UL will out-shoot UK from behind the arc and seal the deal with the long ball.
