So I've discovered the wonderful world of yesteryear on youtube. IU vs. Kentucky 1981, 1984. Louisville vs. old metro conference foes. UK vs. NC State (Spud Webb, Lorenzo Charles, Chris Washburn dismissed) and other various foes, St.John's with Chris Mullen and Walter Berry vs. Georgetown with Patrick Ewing and lots of tournament games. The old CBS and NBC intro songs. Man how the game has changed, and not for the better. I forgot what it was like to pass the ball around and look for the open mid-range jumper (and hit it consistently) or pound it inside. None of that dribble drive and dish to the perimeter crap that todays game seems to revolve around. Senior laden teams. Now I didn't like the no shot clock rule.
Names from the past:
UK: Roger Hardin, that Master Blaster guy, Winston Bennett, Kenny Walker, Rob Lock
IU: Steve Alford, Mike Giomi, Isaiah, Uwe Blab and the sky hook
UofL: Jerry Eaves, Mccray brothers, Billy Thompson, Herbert Crook, Pervis
Notre Dame: David Rivers - I swear that guy played 15 years there.
DePaul was good. Rosemont Horizon
Announcers: Gary Bender, Billy Packer, Al McGuire, D*ck Enberg, Marv Albert

Remember when?
