Haha you ain't a kidding about drinking cheap bourbon. If your drinking you may as well be doing it right. I can't guarantee you and tyme a few shots though. I like to find the bottom of the bottle lol. I've got the rest of the week off work so I'll have plenty of time to recover!

Don I'm not even sure we will fish Kissimmee, the buddy that is taking me just said he has a place to stay down in that area. I have since googled the area and found there is a butt load of lakes all over the place.Usually when I go to Fla. I saltwater fish but he invited me to stay for free and show him how to catch some good size bass...be my luck we catch catfish LOL.Hey can't look a gift horse in the mouth. So I will sharpen my bass catching skills back up and go for it...And any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated LOL. Chuck

Man I know for sure I would be in West Lake Toho with a white and or watermelon Seed Zoom Fluke tied on and searching the shallows for pre spawn bass.. Horny toads as well it just depends on how active they are. Unlike here the bass there get in spawning areas by the dozens and if your fortunate to get those warm days around the spawn they come up in waves of hundreds.

Im sure some basic local knowledge from a bait shop can get you pointed in the right direction. The thing I always liked about west lake is there are so many nice areas for the bass to spawn and if you know the lake you can find acres of perfect grass and weeds to float around in and just search for those pre spawn bass up there.

I know you have to upgrade a few rods to gorilla tackle so you don't get abused because a 5-10lb bass in the weeds or pads will hurt your feelings down there! I look at my Florida tackle boxes once in awhile and think man those hooks and sinkers are huge!!! Fact is though you learn to upgrade your stuff when your fishing in that State.

Man you have so many choices of lakes. Harris Chain, Butler Chain, Kissimmee Chain, Clermont Chain, big "O", istokpoga and the St. John river.... and many other small chains of lakes to fish in central Florida. Hopefully your buddy has some info to get you into lake that's hot so you can start off catching fish!

Red shad, tequilla shad have always been my favorite colors for worms and craws down there. I'll text a few buddies to see if they have any ideas of what chain is hot right now.

Your a seasoned fisherman and having a buddy down there plus picking up some info from reports, seeing weather patterns when your there and just being in a bass haven you guys are gonna have a blast. The only thing that will give those Florida Bass lock jaw is a cold front. They don't do well with those..hahahaha.

Thanks for the info Don, I figured you would have some good input be 'n your old stompin ground. I'll definetly try to hit Toho but also alittle over whelming with all that water down there. Should be a blast as long as this cold weather doesn't follow us down there...Brrrrrr I'll post some pic's when we get the biggin lol..Thanks again. Chuck
