I usually don't stray far from the vehicle when it's that cold. I'm looking high percentage spots without high percentage work. Also, most times I can work from the bank if I have to. Always a slow wade in the winter, usually standing in one spot and only moving a few feet up at a time. Been doing it for well over 5 years, coldest temp I've ever caught one was 18 which has happened on 3 separate occasions. High on Wednesday slated for 22 - I won't even think about it if the flow is low with clear skies.
I fell in the drink the other day due to sheer stupidity - wrung out my sleeves and carried on.....but it was 35 or so that day.
