I usually don't stray far from the vehicle when it's that cold. I'm looking high percentage spots without high percentage work. Also, most times I can work from the bank if I have to. Always a slow wade in the winter, usually standing in one spot and only moving a few feet up at a time. Been doing it for well over 5 years, coldest temp I've ever caught one was 18 which has happened on 3 separate occasions. High on Wednesday slated for 22 - I won't even think about it if the flow is low with clear skies.I thought I like to fish as much as anyone, but I guess not. man be careful wading in temps that cold. should you slip and get wet, it could be big trouble for you. ever think of taking a changing of warm dry clothes, in a water proof bag, for quick access if needed. good luck to you, if you do brave the cold temps.
I fell in the drink the other day due to sheer stupidity - wrung out my sleeves and carried on.....but it was 35 or so that day.
The temps they are calling for will be cold, REALLY cold.........I have a 20 degree limit. It started at 7 on friday, and didnt get above 25. That is WAY too cold for me.
If you do go, be careful.

As promised I ventured out today and was rewarded with 9 smallies
Looks sideways. I don't remember levitating parallel to the water as I stretched the camera out.
