Mhalll I am here in Palestine IL looking at it snowing 2 inches an hour calling for 8 to12 inches with winds gusting to 30 mph and wind chills tomorrow of -30 dangerous condition for sure I give your predictions of winter from hell an a+ and knight you as premier weather man. Still wish you were wrong.

Hunker down RR it is gonna be a nasty ride but here is a nice down the road thought for you. Some models indicate we are in for a decent warm up in the near future and some models show a warming ''trend'' that may last awhile later this month heading into Feb. Now models are often wrong especially this far out but in this case I hope I'm right......

we have several folks with out electric I am lucky we have electric. it is scary these temps and no electric. I feel sorry for the line men having to work in these conditions.

oil the fishing reels boys, the "January Thaw" is on the way, it'll warm up as it does most ever year. groundhog day is just around the corner, only 27 short winter days away. until the old whistle pig will come out and see it's shadow, then if old whistle pig sees it's shadow, spring is only 6 weeks away, and if old whistle pig don't see it's shadow, then spring will be a month and a half away.
