    Angry Obama care

Been a while since I have been on here, working two jobs don't leave a lot of free time, but the flu gives me some time lol. After two moths on helping people sign up for Obama care here is what I have seen. It is helping some that work and make low pay, and it is helping single people and students and some elderly that don't have medicare yet, though it is giving medicade, thru KY, to those who have never worked ad never will, free and better health ins than what I am paying for. I have seen the premiums for people that work, and they scare me, a family of three, making just 36,000 a year, the kid gets KCHIP, which is good, but the parents premiums start at 940 $ a month, ad that's with a 6000$ deductible, there lost premium they qualified for was 400 mth with 10,000 ded. , they cant afford that, it seems that no working class people can afford the new premiums, they are sky high, and with mind blowing deductables and copays. most plans start at around 6000 out of pocket. It seems that the affordable care act is ot really affordable, if you can afford it you probally already have ins. My wife lost her inms due to this new law, now they want 397 a mth with a 6850 dollar co pay. and 11 grand out of pocket,. Well we all can agree on one thing, Obama has doomed the middle class and has started a class warfare. My ins wnet up and so did my co pays and ded, I can add my wife to mine for 500 a mth. If this is affordable then I guess im the pope. Ltr. And Geo you were right.............

By 2016 or 2020, all insurance will be gone, and we will be single payer, and be very close to most European models. Actually probably more like South Korea, where they have single payer, and then the "rich" can purchase additional coverage.

Imagine that............the divide between the have had have nots is deliberately being widened by the Affordable Care Act.

    MARK MY WORD.......

We never know until it all plays out but I suspect this boon dongle will cost the folks who earn their living so the folks who don't can get healthcare that equates to what everybody has instead of just emergency healthcare, hopefully it will prove to be better than it looks like it is going to be... I believe if you want to go to the doctor for a yearly checkup you should earn that right... If you need to go to the emergency room for some reason and earning your living just ain't your thing, the tax payers have been paying that bill for you for years.

I took the income and family size info from the OP and put it in at the Kynect site and got very different results than what was posted.

I took a mom and dad both 30 years old, plus I even made them smokers and a kid 10 years old and got much better plan rates than was posted.

Plus I'm not sure if the plan prices in the pic attachment include the assistance they would receive for a family of three making under $78,120.

I call BULL...........I just did it too........and Here are my results using 6k / month in income. Which is 6,120 less than what you used.

Here is my pretty screenprint, and I did one better.......I sorted by CHEAPEST plan.

    Exchange.jpg

Obamacare is the single most FASCIST thing this Administration and COUNTRY has ever done to the American People.

Yea, FASCIST.........The gubment is telling you the consumer you MUST purchase insurance from one of a few COMPANIES participating in an exchange.

The very definition of FASCISM.........look it up some time. And for the record, the last well known fascist was HITLER.

    Gotta love it.

Umm try again, I used the $36,000 a year income that was posted in the op so that's $3000 a month.

The $78,120 figure is the cut off a family of 3 can make and still receive assistance to help pay for their insurance. Now whether or not that assistance is already factored into the prices shown in my pretty little screen cap or not I don't know, so I welcome you to look into it and post what you find but even if it's not factored in it's still cheaper than what was in the op.

Where does the "assistance" you speak of come from?

I'm assuming it will come from the same fine folks who couldn't take 300+ million dollars and get the front end of a web site going until private companies were called in to help. God only knows what's going on with back side processing of the site.

The fact is health insurance is now going to cost anyone making a decent income considerably more. End of story. Anyone who believes otherwise is delusional.

Man you cut right to the core on that statement. Here this program was sold as "AFFORDABLE" but for who?? Not for me and the companies I deal with who pay for their employees health insurance. How does getting health insurance free from your employer and then changing to costing you ($300, $400 or anything at all) equate to affordable?
I have had this discussion with many folks from Electricians, Auto Body Shops and folks who work in the boating industry and it's the same everywhere. Business owners of these small companies cannot pay the close to 100% cost increase of this law. Luckily we kept our policy for one more year as did these others but if this law stands we are doomed with this increase that we didn't budget for and it will hurt everyone's bottom dollar. How can anyone just shell out $300-$500 a month and think " oh it's ok because I'm doing my part" helping the uninsured get insurance when in fact this had little to do with getting the uninsured help or making it affordable to the middle class. It was a money and power grab sold to the idiots of this country who loved the idea because their messiah said it was good. People like him and blind followers have a history of drinking the koolaid. I think Jim Jones was another sweet talker that had blind allegiance by his minions...look how that ended. Only problem is now the minions are dragging all of us down.

Most of the folks on here and in the public eye knew that gubment controlled anything has a direct link to your money. I was and am against it and we who opposed it were right! The program has to get funded and how would they do that??? Hmmmmmm that's a tough one but we figured it out in .000000002 seconds!!!! It ain't over..more hurt is coming to us all. Take that to the bank.
