After watching the crappie thread and seeing all those crappie he was catch in his cast net, what is the law on this , could one go out and catch sport fish this way. And do you guys that through the net have any story's on fish you've caught while throwing the net?

This is from the KYDFW as far as keeping game fish caught indecently while casting for bait.
"All sport fish incidentally taken while capturing live bait with seines, dip nets or cast nets must be released immediately unharmed into the water."
+1 On they should be released.
I've caught and released carp to 5 pounds, catfish to 8 pounds, bass to 4 pounds, white bass, small mouth, gar and even a couple small Stripers cast netting. All went back. Best every thro was at the falls of the Ohio, behind the lower gates where one throw of the net landed 2X18 inch Stripers, 3 12-14 inch hybrids, and a Sauger. Here's the part of that throw we did the pic of.
I've seen the video he is referring to I believe. I saw it on YouTube where this guy was tossing a cast net and catching really nice crappie doing so. All the fish he net were released as they should be. Can't tell you how many times I've seen foreigners toss a cast net and pull up a load of crappie and bass then just toss em in a bucket. Pisses me off to no end.

Nice fish! It only make sense that when one would target bait fish from above that there maybe something targeting them from below, net goes in the water and wala!I've caught and released carp to 5 pounds, catfish to 8 pounds, bass to 4 pounds, white bass, small mouth, gar and even a couple small Stripers cast netting.
