Hey kyriverblues,you ever sauger fish under that dam or is it even possible. Got to find something closer to home,a2.5 hour drive to wolf creek below Cumberland gets expensive and that's 5 hours I could be fishing

Yes I catch a lot of sauger below the dam. the size is small with a few good fish. I even catch a walleye sometimes and they are usually 4 to 5 lbs. I catch them on small jigs or live minnows. the water can be rough at time but I live 8 miles from the dam so fell free to email me when you want to come and I will tell you if the water is low enough to fish safely. How about Musky? I heard they were doing real well in that stretch of water. Also, is there anywhere close to buy minnows?????

A friend of mine caught a musky a few years back but I have never caught on there. there is not any place to buy minnows there. The nearest place is West End Sports in Eminence. It is about 15 miles from the dam.
