So I need a new laptop battery for my Dell. I was going to get one from Amazon for less than half off. I talked to a buy at the battery plus store and he said that it will only last for 2 months.
Anybody have any experience with these.

Every so often let the batt run completely down, that should extend it's life some.

That use to be the case with Ni-Cad and Nickel - Metal Hydride batteries, but newer L-ion battery systems don't have the "memory" issues previous types of batteries had.
Most newer laptops utilize l-ion batteries , so you should be fine.
