This is a complete crock of BS by the US Fish a Wildlife Service. That darter has always been in some of the creeks flowing into L. Cumb and has always adapted just fine to fluctuating water levels. I am personally sick of seeing fish kills and unhealthy fish populations due to the drawdown. This is the work of bureaucrat biologist trying to make a name for himself among similar geeks. If you care at all about the sport fishing on L. Cumberland, call Hal Rogers office in Somerset and let them know this is a gross abuse of govt power. Call until they're sick of hearing from you.

It never ceases to amaze me how much power the bleeding hearts and tree huggers wield in this country. Just another example of the decline of our once-great society. Common sense no longer has any place in our government.

Net the lil boogers up, take em to a hatchery where they can be fed and bred right off of the endangered species list. Re-introduce them where they will again see their populations dwindle due to competition from an overpopulation of non-native invasive species of baitfish. Eventually get right back where you started. Charge the tax payers a fair price, say 10 million dollars or so for the project. Embezzle half of it. Retire in South America before anyone notices.

Not sure which part would be the smoke and which part would be the mirrors, but they have fantastic peacock bass fishing in Venezuela.

My question is, where in the blue blazes have they been since the dam has been built? Answer, right where they been the whole time! Right there! High water and low water hasn't affected them then, why now? Anything to spend the taxpayers money. I'd still be more concerned about the viability of the dam. My opinion.
