    Last choice

This began in early October. I've hurt it more since then. The easiest and cheaper solution I'd have chosen, was an ortho pedic sling, and a moderate pain killer. But I'm not an MD.Considering the cost benefit against the age factor. my solution makes more sense.Of corse the cost will help several folks in the medical field to enjoy a few extra rounds of golf.

    Very painfull

I had surgery in December, it is a very painful recovery. The only place i could slept was in a recliner. But things are looking up the doctor said I could start fishing, but I could only reel with my left shoulder and had to cast with my right.you are looking at least 6-8 weeks in a sling.
    Good luck

The cost is an issue, but if you're having trouble elevating it, you will have trouble until you completely immobilize it and let the tears heal, OR get it fixed.

The micro tears, will fix themselves over time, but you have to sling it and not move the shoulder up ( lifting motion), or above flat. Think chicken wing straight out . If you can do that forever then it will heal itself over a 5 month period.

Personally, if I had reasonable insurance ( not a 12,000 HSA) where I'm responsible for the first 12k, I would have had my second shoulder surgically repaired. I still might, but for now, it seems to be ok.

    Later,

    Geo
