My Brother in Law has been working in New York City for the last few years. He goes striper fishing on a lark with a guide and catches this monster right in Downtown Manhattan near the UN Building. That's FDR Drive in the background.
He said they were drifting eels a few feet off the bottom in about 20' of water, if I remember correctly.
