WE cared about the spread of democracy. WE cared that a strongman dictatorship was murdering his own people. WE CARED that Russia was threatening the entirety of Western Europe. It is too bad we have a president who has zero foreign policy credentials.
The Ukraine is falling apart people, and AMERICAN interests are at risk.

Not that I wouldn't bomb them into oblivion..........but hey, I'm trying to mellow a little.
What American interests? Do we have a bunch of Walmarts there?
The Ukraine borders no major American commercial shipping lanes. I doubt we do much commercial fishing in the Black Sea.
Do we get lots of crude oil from Ukraine? Nope
Political or international pressure...sure go for it! But not as the leader, as a supporter of UN action.
Foreign aide? I say not one flippin penny of my tax dollars.
And I say we stay completely out of it, until the UN does its flippin job. UN starts the sanctions, then the US votes for it as a follower. If we lead it, we become the target for opposing radicals, an when the first Ukrainian sponsor attack hits a US territory or activity, then we will be committing troops and $$$$$$$.

1). All oil flowing to European countries comes through the Ukraine.
2). The Ukraine has a crap ton of nuclear material and weapons.
3). The Ukraine is on the cusp of tetering back to SOCIALIST or worse COMMUNIST rule.
Lots of people died to keep that from becoming a reality.
4). Putin needs to be knocked down a peg or to. You guys though Bush was bad. WOW.
I'm sure I could come up with a bigger list........but you get the point.
So what...the only thing you listed is what the pukes will do to themselves. Not my neighborhood, not my problem. Easier to bull doze and build on the disaster site.

Ignoe it it will go away! It was part of Russia several times. It was prt of Poland I think twice. Their history and democracy, do not go together. The EU made pie in the sky promises to them, that they knew were false. It is a divided country, the western part speaks polish, the eastern part speaks Russian. It was the bread basket of Europe once.Many of the guards at auswich were ethnic Ukraine, Some fought with hitler, some with stalin. No matter what direction we choose, it will be wrong in time.

Well, race riots had nothing to do with the balance of WORLD power did it?
And those riots were over 50 years ago. Now about something a little closer to today's reality.....
