Not one bite all day supposed to fish tomorrow but I'm out of ideas
Did you throw the a-rig?
Haven't been for a while, but if I get out next week, I'll start out in the early (EARLY) with the fnf. Once there is enough light to see the bobber, I'll have it in 12-15 foot of water. Note, water is muddy to stained dark green, depending on which end of the lake you are on. Choose lure colors accordingly.
we fished the Backwaters Skeeter Tournament out of Conely Bottom on Saturday. A lot of boats blanked. The winning team had about 9.5 pounds with five fish. The lake is muddy between US90 bridge and Falls Creek. It may have muddy elsewhere too, that's the only area of the lake we saw. Caught fish on chatter baits on Friday and Jerkbaits on Saturday.
You're not the only one. Fished the pumpkin/greasy creek area. Water was a little clearer than the burnside end from what I saw, but still had a lot of color. Threw everything I had at them, and only had 2 bites all day. Saw a bunch of shad dying, and the gulls were feasting. Cold muddy water, and buffet of shad to choose from made for a tough day on my end.
Also struggled sat. Put in at Conley and fished faubush to Norman. Main lake with moderate stain. Temps am 42 and by late pm found some 48. Backs of creeks clearing and let me say that the amount of cover back there is unreal. Threw crank baits, jerk baits, jigging spoons a rigs and footballs and took only 3 bites. Bait was in 20' range over 30-40' and scattered. Fish marked but were suspended and seemingly satisfied to not eat my offerings. Some floating debris above Conley but wind had it all on banks by end of sat. Be safe. Good spring fishing coming!!!
