One of them was to paint the Oblong school rooms and guess what the painters union shut them down Said they were losing union jobs and the state put a stop to it. The prisoners were volunteering to get on work details they liked it and the prison admin were using it to reward good behavior. Guess what the. School could not afford union painters so they got no work and the school did not get new paint.
