louisville/bullitt co lakes and streams

planning on going out tomorrow and making a day of it. I plan on hitting up long lick creek and floyds fork also maybe mcneely or tom wallace. anyone have any news/reports about any of these? maybe some recommendations on where to go?

Defanantly try Floyd's fork. Also you might want to look on KDFWF's website and look for a local park pond that has been stocked with trout. They were stocked last week most places in louisville. I've gone about 4 or 5 times lately and caught 26 in total over the last times between 3 of us. Only thing is you need a trout stamp. I know they stocked both ponds at beckley station park last Thursday. Good luck, drew

can you recommend a spot on floyds fork? I was planning on going to bardstown rd overpass. I've lived around here all my life but never fished it much

I'd try beckley creek park because if the creek fails you have two nice pond ps that I was talkin about. It's a very nice park I kayak it a lot.

thanks for the help. I've never been there but i looked it up and it's only about 20min from me. is there any good bank fishing there?

If the water is at a decent level try behind the visitor center at the water park area. There's a good canoe launch to stand on. There's also some deeper points under the park bridge. Not the highway. If no luck there go up towards the two ponds. There are some walking trails and you might be able to cast into the creek from there. There's another spot up there that's directly across from the ponds. That's another canoe launch. You will probably want to cast up stream there or find a way to walk farther up creek. That's where I put in my kayaks and about 300 yards down from there there is a really good lookin hole. The problem is the walking trail is farther off it and idk if it's accessible by foot. So just work your way around the park. I'd drive from the visitor center to the bridge and then to the pond area. The walk is a pain. Trust me
