It depends on what you're looking to catch. I've only bass fished it. We were there last Tuesday and caught 4. They were all nice fish though. We had one that was 19" long, but had to have been over 5lbs. Our scale was dead so we couldn't get a weight, but it was the fattest fish I have ever seen. They all came on crankbaits in the trees. They were suspended 5-10' deep in about 20-25' of water. One spot you should definitely check out is the roadbed and the surrounding treelines. It gets pressured but always produces fish for us. Good luck and report back!

If you don't mind me asking where is the roadbed? I've never been on the lake and the first time I saw it was today when I drove over the dam.

    Is this right?

Just a few weeks ago, Scott Doan caught over 18 lbs! Not too bad any time of year, but in the middle of December it’s outstanding.

Sorry, but I don't know that much about the Bass fishing on Cedar Creek. I linked the article because it had the map, and the other sites I looked at no longer have the topo map shown.

The article says it was posted Jan. 2013, so those 18lbs of fish were caught in Dec 2012. What it didn't say was "how many" fish it took to weigh 18lbs.

Thanks for the help guys. The map helped a lot and after reading the fishing report there it looks like I'll be focusing on wind blown coves and banks with a jerkbait and crankbait. I wouldn't count out a jig either.
