    Go the TVA website, wolf creek dam and they will have generation schedule.

    yeah I have seen that but it seems like most of the time they are generating, thats why I was wondering how rough the water really is.

    2 Generators is the MAX when Yak or Canoe Fishing

    I'd not push it past that. And that is only if they are not generating higher than 5500.

    AT 2 Generators, it is moving pretty dang good, but you should be able to fish it. Don't even think about paddling backup upstream at 2 generators and 5500...

    With just the Sluice gates, it is pretty tough to paddle up.......

    Helm's landing or Winfrey's Ferry

    Helm's Landing is a good spot down river to try in a yak. Anything over 5,000 would be tough. You can always paddle over to the other side of the current and fish pretty easy at the dam.
