Put in about 12:30, water temp at ramp was 52 degrees. Gage depth as reported by USGS for N. Elkhorn in Georgetown at the time was 4.81 Ft. http://137.227.232.139/nwisweb/data/...140402..0..gif
We were fishing with live minnows. For those that are familiar, we did not pick up the first fish until we got around the old bridge support (rock pile) in the middle of the creek. The surface temp at that time was 57 degrees. We turned around and going with the current, we started to catch bass left and right. Mostly smallmouths with the largest being 12 inches. The largest fish of the day was a largemouth at 14 inches. These fish was putting on the feed. They had bellies on them like me. We'll leave it at that. Enjoyed the day very much. very relaxing. Rain coming in will of course cause the creek to get up there for a while. oh well, so is spring. Next stop, Dale Hollow for about 4 days. Looks to be alittle cool with alittle rain thrown in. looking forward to it. Anybody know what the water temp is?
