This seems to be rather subjective to be considered acceptable evidence. But I'll take your word for it. I look at it this way. If a cop arrests you, you are screwed. Even if you are innocent you still have to pay a price (missed work for court appearance, hiring a lawyer to prove it). So even if you're proven innocent, you still lose. Many people choose to pay the fine because it would be less expensive than to go to court and defend themselves. The policeman is not your friend. Don't volunteer any information or to do a sobriety test unless operating a vehicle. Volunteering to take a sobriety test is the same as consenting to a search. Do everything to protect yourself when a policeman approaches you. If an individual is intoxicated and is a danger to himself or others or interfering with another individual's pursuit of happiness then police should take action. If a guy is just sitting and fishing with a 6 pack and not bothering anyone then the police should just wish him a good day and move on.
