Home Depot gives vet's 10% off at the store, but not for ship to store orders. So go on line, find your items, check to order them as ship to store. DO NOT PLACE THE ORDER YET, just get it already to go on line so you have a dollar total.

Now open a chat session, by hitting the link on the order page. Tell the rep of your military service to country and that you ought be able to get the ship to store discount either on line, or by having the store apply the discount when you pick the items up. At the store, they would be doing a credit to your order.

I did this, and the one line Depot chat rep simplified it, and just did the 10% discount for me online. The rep will tell you to hit the order button and send the order, then report to him on that same chat session your name, address, and order #. Rep applies the discount. When the shipping confirmation is sent to your email address, the total cost of the order will be reduced by the discount amount.

I got to tell ya, I was touched by having Depot do this for me.
