Both booze and weed can cause deaths when abused. Given, no contest.

But cars still kill more than the 2 combined. Maybe we ought ditch the cars, and hit the weed and brews but ride bikes.

If nothing else, the bikes would be cheaper to insure, no air bags to repack, and no need for a CARFAX when buying.

Anyone paying attention to traffic fatalities rates DUE TO MARIJUANA in Colorado? How about the number of children using now? Homeless?

Sounds like marijuana isn't the harmless drug some claimed! Glad other states fell on the sword so Ky doesn't!!!

ALso, when you post a link, make sure it includes a study that shows me a direct cause and effect correlation showing acute intoxication directly caused the accident. Not some "well toxicology reports showed 15.46756% of drivers in accidents had a THC content of 5 nanograms when the accident occurred". You can test positve for a good while after you smoke - if there's weed out there that keeps you intoxicated a week after you smoke it somebody's got a major gold mine on their hands.

Now with that said I'm not really for legalization. However I understand that "correlation does not equal causation". Show me valid statistical analysis and not "well my daughter died in a wreck and the driver smokes weed, so it must mean he was stoned when the accident occurred". I'll wait.

A poll showed support for legal weed in OHIO? But in cleveland, you can hardly smoke anything at all.Maybe we should ban polls.

Prowler, no sense wasting your breath, here it is almost a year and a half later and I'm sure TimE is no smarter. He always hated facts, because they got in the way of his cute little rants

Well as it stands now there will be no way to really prove this until they come up with some standard of determining acute intoxication with marijuana. Something like the blood alcohol content level for alcohol. Once law enforcement has some standard to go by, then we can really start digging in. Until then though it's all gum-flappin'...

    Smile STUDY

Another study? What will we be looking for? There are some beneficial medical uses for weed, and you can over dose on aspirin.Alcohol kills people also. You know what I think[when I do], were more interested in building a SUPER mouse.

I've never smoked pot in my life, I did drink a little as a teenager, a couple of the guys I grew up with that drank beer a lot, both died from liver problems. I new several that smoked pot, I wish everyone in the world could stop using both pot and drinking alcohol, both do harm, but if I have to meet another car on the road, with the driver using either Pot or Alcohol, I would prefer meeting a pot smoker,

Yeah your right about that. The stoner will be doing 35 and it feels like your doing 75 while the drinker will be doing 75 and feeling like he's doing 35. I rather be in the company of a stoner vs. the company of a drunk as well. As long as weed is illegal it will be easier for kids to buy than a beer is. That sounds kinda weird at first until you consider the fact that a drug dealer does not card young folks.
