Rough River

Heading to Rough river for Derby with my dad and 12 yr old. Anyone doing any good? We'll be fishing for bass, hybrid, or crappie. Any info is appreciated. Will report when we return.

Fished 8 hrs in tourney and only managed 1 keeper 4.22 and 1 slot but enough to win

Nice work RoughScott…any advice on where we might start to locate the fish. We don't tournament fish, so we shouldn't be any competition for you. At least not yet my 12 yr old aspires to fish tourneys, but he isn't there yet. If you don't want to share public I understand. If you were willing to share a PM I would keep it confidential.

I went last week and struggled. Bass fishing was tough, I stayed in the south fork area. Saw lots of people crappie fishing on channel bends but don't know if they were catching any or not. I may try to sneak out a couple of hours in the morning depending on the weather

Went Fri evening Sat and Sun Fri caught several bass on jerkbaits on points. Couldn't seem to find any size. Same thing withe bass on Sat and Sun. Also caught nice crappie in Cave Creek with Rapala sr 5 . All in all great weather and a great weekend. Water temp was at 62 on Fri and 65 by the time we left on Sun.
