Yep I don't fish to make a living or eat I fish to enjoy myself so whether or not I catch fish isn't as important to me as learning a little more every time I go out. I guess because I didn't grow up fishing from a boat or fishing big lakes I have had to learn everything about it as I go and the best way to do that is to talk to people that already know what their doing, it's a lot easier to do that when they don't have a preconceived notion of you being a punk kid.

Never rented a slip, never will. However, i see both sides of the coin. I fish in a marina often, but have never actually put a bait in someones slip, light or not. I know guys do, and per the law, thats their right. I also so why slip tennants get pizzed at guys for doing it, and how is a slip renter supposed to differentiate between me and a guy thats gonna flip right up beside their houseboat? Theyre not, and i fully understand that. However, im not going to be made to leave a spot that i have every right to fish, and ive been into it with a drunken slip renter. He went and got his zebco 33 and started casting over my line, needless to say he lost that battle when he hooked my line. Sad part is, i was on the opposite side from his slip, and couldnt have gotten close to his property if i tried. Same guy a year later, still drunk came out and gave my friend and i an absolute horse cussing with children (not his) standing there watching. We never said a word. Called my friend that was fishing with mes mom and dad, who also have a slip rented in the marina, and they went and straightened the drunken sob out. Last time we've heard a peep out of him and that was 4 years ago. My point is that there are jackwagon slip renters just like there are jackwagon fisherman. If i have a right to be there, and im not breaking a law or harming somebodys property (again, i dont fish the slips) then by heck im gonna fish there. Ive talked to game wardens about it, and theres nothing they can do to make a fisherman leave. When a fisherman starts damaging a slip renters property, they need a 3oz egg sinker put up against the side of their boat, if that doesnt work then up against the side of their head
