So what's next?? What else are we going to read about that Global Warming is to blame for?? It seems that anyone who wants to cash in on the Global Warming scare can and is doing so. Study after study on cow farts, bugs, racism, rain, snow, cold, heat, ice, fire and on and on and on. One would think we are about to explode into oblivion because of the black doom that is soon to be upon us. Or our kids grandkids or their grandkids.

I'm a non-believer in the Global Warming scare. I know some of you are into this scare and love to be viewed as the informed believer so please put your money and lifestyle into what you believe and walk to work. Buy a bike made from bamboo and recycled rubber and ride to work. Stop all things that contribute to your global warming scare and stop making your Carbon footprint so large. If your not doing your part to reduce your contribution in this crises then what good is it to always try and point out this junk??? You trying to inform us so we change our lifestyle?? You trying to prove how informed you are?? I'm asking what's the point? I know some of you believers will get offended and that's to bad because yes I am calling you out. What have you done for the cause??? What is it you do that shows you practice what you preach?? Your on the internet, you more than likely own a smart phone or even have kids who have both. Those cannot be good for the environment of global warming. I bet you eat red meat, that contributes to supporting ranchers who raise cattle that contribute to cow farts that is detrimental to your cause. Your driving cars, trucks and prolly more than one in your family so how is that helping?? You guys own a Prius? A Chevy volt? Use your air conditioner at home?? That drives up the demand for electricity and production cost so maybe it's time to stop using those. You own a big screen that uses lots of power?? Maybe it's time to sell that TV and get some good "green energy bulbs " and read more books. Plasma TV's sukk power like crazy.

Me as a non-believer of Global Warming practices what I preach. I drive a V8 truck, V6 SUV and a V twin Harley. I drive fast and could give a rip on how much gas I burn in doing so. I eat red meat and I own 2 large plasma TV's. I own computers and a smart phone. I use my AC like a madman in the summer because I like to be comfortable. I choose to fly on commercial flights when on business or on vacation because it's cheaper but I'm sure it's not any cleaner or burns less fuel than my vehicle. I own a 2-stroke motor (5hp) but still an evil 2-stoke. I honestly do not do anything to reduce my carbon footprint. I do what I feel are responsible things like not leaving lights on when not needed. I recycle my garbage as directed by the city and at work I started the program of recycling batteries because it's what I deem as my responsibility. I'm a person who doesn't litter and is kind to a fault to Gods creatures (yes I believe in God) I attend church but not as much as I would like.

I guess I'm saying that until I see all these people like Al Gore and these so called experts change their habits or usage of products that harm the environment and contribute to Global Warming I will see it as a money grab embedded with a sliver of truth. The truth is we should be responsible and not dump raw sewage into our lakes and rivers. Vehicles can be more fuel efficient since fuel cost are raping Americans. Garbage being reused and turned into fuel for different industries is good, disposing of garbage properly is a good idea and on and on. These are the responsible things we should be doing but to take it to the level of blaming every dang thing on Global Warming is taking it waaaay to far. Common sense stuff is needed and using common sense is becoming a lost trait....especially with this Global Warming scam.

Species of all sorts have been developing, moving, becoming extinct, etc. since the dawn of time with no help or prevention from humans for most of that. I think we get too bent out of shape preventing things from moving in and keeping things from going extinct. They go extinct for a reason....even if a large part of the reason is humans.

Heck...Europeans were an invasive species to North America.

    We are the enemy

Anyone who thinks we don't have an impact on our envirement, is asleep at the switch. Its progress, like it or not. Most of us share the same view as DJ, and I don't fault him his views. Mine to some extant are the same as his. I want to be comfortable, not hungry or thirsty just enjoy MY existence. If someone else has to do with out, so be it. That is pure human nature. Since time began few have owned most, it isn't going to change. All men are not created equal, never were. Its impossible to have more Indians than chiefs. Guess we just have deal with it, each in our own way.

That's exactly why I retired and say to heck w IT

Most people don't give a dam anyway so they are not going to change much and will continue to do what you say. We will continue to burn all the fossil fuel we can as long as we can and not much will stop that. Be it coal or firewood, oil or gas. As long as we can get to it we will continue to burn it for energy.

At least on most of the newer coal fired power plants they are required by law to install and maintain air pollution control equipment. That's helped in my area. The area is a lot cleaner now than it was back in the 1970's in some ways but not in all ways. Long range transport has to be addressed and that's a work in progress. Thankfully the USSC had sided with EPA on the enforcement by EPA on long range pollution transport from one state to the another.

I really don't see the USA or anyone really stopping the earth was warming up as the resistance is well funded and fierce. Big coal has plenty of money to spend in the fight to remain king of the fossil fuels. They go kicking and screaming to court fighting tooth and nail so that they can keep on pouring pollution into the air an water without regard to their fellow humans' health and LIVES. Only when the Federal Government puts the strong arm of the law on them do they finally comply with the CAA.

So in the main time as the earth heats up more and more and the Tiger Mosquitoes buzz around I'll just apply a little more Deet.

    How true!

Caine could not get along with his own brother. Even Adam listened to Eve and then fell out of grace with God that day he ate the forbidden fruit. He probably just got diarrhea.

Animal and plants have gone extinct long before mammals were here. And some life forms will probably still be here long after humans are gone.

But anyone who thinks that Global Warming is something made up to help the Green Movement is out of their mind. In fact they are putting the Horse before the cart. Global Warming is real and it's partly due to what man is doing. In a time frame that we understand only man will be able to reverse the damage that we have already done. While in the historic past there have been lots of different climates on this earth, not so many of them happened while man was in numbers like we have today. Not many Homo Sapiens were here during the so called many Ice Ages. And so far we have not found any human skeletons right next to the T rex skeletons. Not in the same layer of the earth anyways.

Things move slow in Washington, D.C. But eventually they will get it right and straighten out this mess. In the mean time I'd suggest moving to higher ground if you live in a low lying flood plain.

Great post, but if you really want to wake them up, tell them to put the doobie down. I'm figurin this global warming/climate change sham would be plain as day to them!
