    Herrington Lake

Thinking about heading to Herrington tomorrow in pursuit of Hybrids. Anyone been on the Chimney Rock to dam Section after all the rain? Visibility?

Probably not the best time after the rain and front but just need to get out.

I went today and I thought the water was in great shape. I could easily see my bait down to a depth of 4 feet or so. The fishing was tough for me....just a couple of small bass. I could have done without the wind, but there was very little boat traffic today. I was surprised at just how few boats I saw. It was nice just to get out. I may do it again tomorrow. I see your post was a day old, so how did you do today on Herrington?

What part of H-Ton did you fish.

Couldnt find anybody to go. Couldnt decide if I wanted to go by myself. Then decided to go at 3pm. Went to tilt motor up for brace and cranking battery was dead as I left key turned on. Arrrgghhhh! So charged it for 2hrs and went to Beaver instead since I knew all needed was trolling motor battery.

Beaver was stained but very fishable and 69F. Quite a bit of moss, especially if you fished bottom. Parking lot was almost full.

Caught 12 bass a few dinks most 11-13", lost one about 4lbs. All on plastics.
