Headed up there Tuesday. The guys dropped off all their gear today. AS usual, we have way too much crap this year.

    9 55lb packs between 6 guys...

    1 50lb food pack
    1 65lb food pack
    1 58lb community gear pack
1 personal pack for each guy.

    CRAZY...........

Are you guys packing canoes also? I remember when we were travel trailering the loading was done by the wife. For a week she would be gathering supplys, every inch of space was coveted. I would always point out the load limits, and the fuel, like talking to a stone! But we would always be gone at least 5 weeks, or an entire winter.. When it came to my stuff, she was much smarter, you want it, you load it. At least a dozen rods, tackle boxes, waders, foul weater gear, my small out board, a small electric motor, the porte a bote. Our crew cab stayed uncluttered, her rule. the cat rode in the trailer, the dog, in the back seat. I blew most of 501K on that rig, but got back 10 times the memorys, good not so good, and bad.

We haul our own canoes. We have a 4 x 8 trailer with room to haul 4 canoes double stacked. Inside the box , we can carry about 1000 of gear. We usually carry about 600-800 lbs.

We leave tomorrow........It will be cold, but I cannot wait.

    Later,
