I got an email to day from Humminbird announcing Price reductions on several of their units.

The unit that is very similar to the 898 C SI that I have now but with a better and brighter and easier to see in the Sun screen is now only about 899 instead of 1500 dollars. I'm tempted to buy a another unit for the captains seat and put my older unit up at the front of the boat and use it in 2D mode only. That way I can see the screen better when fishing in the sun.

Anyone have one of the newer humminbirds units that has the brighter screen that's more visible in sunlight? I'd like to see if they are any better than my current 898C SI unit that's a 2010 or 2011 model year.

I wish I had more money LOL Don't we all!
