Decided to brave the holiday warriors this morning. surface temp 73-76F. logs everywhere on lower end.

Got a late start and didnt get to dam area until a little after 7am to fish for hybrids. Only boat there, not a good sign

Never saw a school of shad the entire day. But did see some surface activity chasing minnows/fry. Both bass and whites/hybrids. Just enough to keep me there thinking I would have some luck as they were in the area. No such luck. zippo.

Decided to run and fish some banks that I Have caught Hybrids off of before. No Hybrids but did catch a couple of 4" mini black bass dinks, a big as@ bluegill(manged to get all three treble hooks in mouth somehow), a sunfish, a 3+ lb bass and lost a 4lb bass(note to self - the net in the boat is there for a reason) off the side of the boat all on kastmaster fairly deep.

Finally gave up on hybrids, and switched to scatter rap and plastics and caught 5 bass and lost 3(struggled with the scatter rap). Did catch one more nice bass though on plastic.

Any size to them.

Was out today again but mainly bass fishing this time. we caught 6.

Saw several boats fishing for hybrids including my dads old fishing buddy "Tony". Good to see Tony is still at it.

The ride from dam to pandora at noon was an adventure with all the boats. Made it and still had my lower unit so I call it a successful day.
