Most of your quality fish will come off of points, brush piles and flats

I've been a lurker here for a while, but just now created a profile. I have always just beat the bank mostly and have caught fish, just small ones. I know there are bigger fish out deeper. I never know what type of structure to target at rough river. I know some basics like outiside channel bends, points and secondary points but I can never seem to find the right area.
Thank You

Thanks fishinfreak. I never know how close a flat has to be to the channel to hold fish.
It's a hit or miss thing. There isn't anything to hold fish on a flat so they're up there for one thing and one thing only. TO EAT! So the fish up there will be aggressive and fairly easier to catch.
