I think that is the catch 22 of these craw trailers on the claws falling off -- they are made from soft plastic which gives them enhanced movement and action but that soft plastic is weak so the claws break off easily. I was hoping for the holy grail of good action plus durability but that may not be possible...
If you like Paca's definitely try "Bruiser" craws, they don't lose pincher half as bad as paca's and they do catch fish! I switched to these last year and I haven't looked back!
I have has success on both. I use the baby rage tail craw as a trailer, use the baby paca craw as a trailer quiet a bit more but use the chigger chunk most of all. if I want a lot of action though I do go to the paca craw. also use the twin tail on football jigs or at Cumberland.
Just went out and caught two nice bass (one a 4 lb'er) on pacas on taylorsville![]()
Prowler makes a flappin craw that I've gone to. Lots of action, tough and in expensive.

Some great feedback on this thread and I see I have more beyond the rage tail to try. The rage tail trial was not bad. Had to laugh as I rigged my first one in the dark and was checking the action by flashlight beside the boat I was underwhelmed as I didn't see much action in the claws. That's when I found the two halves of the claw were still tied together from the mold. Definitely works better with the two sides loose.
As far as fishing went I think the rage tails worked pretty well. Fishing was slowish for us the past two nights so it wasn't the best trial as we caught 15 to 18 each night fishing 6 or 7 hours. Didn't fish the rage tail much the first night but did the second and caught quite a few on it including a 4 lb smallie. I only lost two claws where on the pacas the first night I went through a bag and a half on bite offs and shake offs. Nice to have options. Thanks for all of the feedback...

Try the Cabin Creek express craw 3.5". Perfect for a jig trailer. It's the only one I use now and it works. You won't be disappointed!
