Huge gar used to really like that creek mouth on that creek on the right closest to the dam. Calm sunny morning they should be rolling on top.

Hello everyone,
Am new to the board and was looking to see if anyone can point me in the right direction. While I have been fishing for 20+ years, I have just gotten into bowfishing within the last year and was wondering if there are any places to go that are better than others? The only place I have tried is the Ky River and Lake Cumberland.
I was considering Herrington lake, but don't even know where to start there, wondering if anyone has had any luck there? I'm not trying to get exact locations, I'm just not familiar with Herrington and would appreciate any help I could get.
Thanks in advance!

Try salt river in taylorsville lots of big carp including them Asian ones lol
Thanks very much. Do you by chance know if Herrington has any "shallows of the lake are? and what the best dock to launch from would be? I live in Jessamine county and would be coming from 27. I think that Coffey's Marina is the closest one to me. I'm just not familiar with the lake and won't have a lot of time with work to explore before I make a trip.
