    Chris,
the earlier you fish the better your results. I would park at the marina and fish the path to the left of the walkway. It is 1/2 mile long and if you fish a small worm or a small top water you can have a blast. You cannot fish from the marina so people don't think of walking the jog path and dropping down to the water. When you get up next to the sailboats you will see a small cove, this area will produce a Muskie if the shad are up. Good luck and take extra hooks and sinkers, if your not hanging up u ant fishing where the fish are!
    good luck

PS: keep this under your hat, don't want to many people knowing about this spot.

As always caverun is a preety worthless lake unless its completely flooded out like it was several years ago i wont be going back to it again just isnt worth the distance or the money to go the river gets pummeled only think biting was bluegill the water in the lake was so choppy due to the jet skis and speedboats it wasnt funny didnt even cast a line into it

If you dont want people knowing your secret spots I wouldnt post it on here. Not saying everyone on here will run to it but if you have a good spot keep it to yourself if you like to catch fish there. I have been on a few lakes and when another guy watches you catch a fish in a spot they would troll right in behind you. It happens all the time on cave run. If you want to catch fish on cave run head up one of the river channels. Thats less populated with the weekend warriors and partiers. But becareful if you dont know the river channel you may be trolling out without your lower unit or worse.

Completely agree. Next time if ya wanna give him a good spot you can pm it to him. A lot of people that aren't members on fishin.com still read these articles. Just givin you a heads up so next time you go to your favorite spot it's not packed with people
